List of 100 Items to Disappear from Shelves First when Disaster Strikes due to Economic Collapse, Grid Failure, WW3 or the long awaited Zombie Apocalypse.
This list is not rocket science. It is compiled of items that have historically become scarce during and/or after natural disasters, economic collapse, social unrest and war. It was compiled in view of the archives from Yugoslavia, which suffered economic collapse and war fromthe late 1980's through the mid 1990's and the Argentine Great Depression from 1998 through 2002, as well as the current case files of the currently economically and socially collapsed Zimbabwe and Venezuela.
I have listed them in priority as see it. Everybody will have different priorities, even if they use the same list.
Personally, I always list guns and other self defense items as a top priority. After all, what good is stockpiling food, water, valuables... whatever, if you can't defend them? Though we live in a so called civilized world, even after rational thinking, reasoning, debating and negotiating, it usually comes down to who is the most powerful. Those who are strongest get what they want. Now imagine you with all your stockpiled necessities in a city or town full of starving, desperate people with nothing to lose!
So in order of most important and/or with the most urgency and for you to hang on to the in long term, here are the 100+ items that usually disappear first in times of crisis:
